Since this is the week of Thanksgiving, I would like to share some things I am thankful for. I know this is supposed to be about New York, but I cannot promise that all things I am grateful for will be city-related. But I've thought about maybe starting a gratitude blog for a while, so I figure this is the perfect time to test it and see how it goes.
So to start the week, I guess I should say I am grateful for church. Which is handy, because we start every week with church. But today was an annual Come and See Sunday for our stake (the YSAs at least, and they may have only been doing it for a few years). Come and See Sunday is only sacrament meeting, and we are supposed to invite people to come and see that Mormons aren't crazy (basically). Sadly I did not invite anyone, mainly because I think I only hang out with LDS people... But there were several talks and musical numbers about gratitude for God and faith in God. It was an awesome meeting. And then we had pie and a whole other mess of treats afterward, which made it doubly awesome. I am also grateful for my testimony.
Then I got to watch an episode of "The Walking Dead," which reminds me I am also grateful for zombies. They're just fun!
