Flashback

When a train makes a stop, it usually announces what trains are available for transfer. I take the 6 train most often. When it stops at Canal, it says, "Transfer is available to the N, Q, R and W trains."

Not so long ago, the MTA made some changes to some subway lines. They got rid of the W train, and they switched the V to the M, with modifications to its route.

Well, a couple of days ago when the train stopped at Canal, it said the previous transfer message: "Transfer is available to the N, Q, R and W trains."

I don't know why, but it made me smile.
