Obsolete
It occurred to me as I listen to the piña colada/escape song that something like that would never happen anymore. Nobody takes out personal ads because we have the Internet. There are so many dating sites (that include pictures!) that there wouldn't be a mix-up with a happy ending like that. You'd already know whether you were going to meet your own lovely lady.

Well since you bring up that song, what's up with not knowing your significant other is into things like that? If songs were judged by the same criteria as movies (namely plausability) that song wouldn't have done as well as it did but who'da thunk it turned out to be a classic!? The internet & dating sites (with pictures) poses lot's of possibilities for future songs. Who knows, maybe one of us could write one & have it become a classic! Something to ponder. Thanks Charlye!
