Sylvia's

I went to dinner at Sylvia's last night with Amber. I had fried chicken and waffle (Harlem style — means without gravy. California style means with. Blech.) and macaroni and cheese. It was good! But I think I actually prefer Melba's, which is right near my apartment. I think the waffles are better, and they give you two pieces of chicken. Plus the pricing is about the same.

But Sylvia's has a fun atmosphere. It's famous, it's on 125th Street in Harlem. And we learned a couple months ago in sacrament that when the church started in Harlem, they met above Sylvia's for awhile! How cool is that? Very connected to the community. My roommates want to go sometime, so that should be fun.
