I help with election night stuff. It's not difficult, there are cool people, and the lady that coordinates the staff likes me. So she had me promoted to a floor supervisor, with an increase in pay and everything. And I stayed as the late shift supervisor, which was fine, even though nobody more experienced ended up staying with me. But I also got to know a few new people, who continue to be awesome, so I continue to like working there.
Then at Insomnia, I covered an opening shift at the UES store, which was the first time I've worked that shift (although my manager at the UWS trained me on a morning shift). Everything went smoothly and then the CEO guy (not entirely sure if that's accurate) offered me a transfer to the UES store starting Monday. I will be opening (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.) Monday through Friday. So I am guaranteed 40 hours a week, with the opportunity to earn more money at a faster rate than staying in my position at the UWS (or so the CEO guy told me). Plus I can still take my days off for the AP. I'm excited to start something new, and it's progress for now. I will seriously miss my coworkers on the west side though, but we will definitely hang out, because we're friends now. So wish me luck, more to come!
